That is not a COMM#. It would be 2 letters followed by 4 digits.

My latest update from sales adviser is production complete 2/26 (it was 0917 production week), and estimated ship departure of 3/8 and domestic port on 4/6.

In the screen shot he sent me yesterday, it didn't include the top of the form that shows the ocean shipping vessel. Before I bug him again, does anyone know if they ship should already be assigned or how long before ship departure the ship is assigned?

Also, when is the VIN issued (or visible to the dealer)? Originally, when he sent me all the info on the OMD web page, I don't recall seeing a spot for the VIN to be displayed. Is it true that with the VIN you can then track it's progress on the ship (I thought I read that on this or another forum).

VIN is shown the day the car completes production. There is an ETA for ship departure, but there's no guarantee it will make that ship. The actual ship is not displayed until the car is actually on it.
