Piano black...how to protect it.
Folks looking at how to protect the piano black area where the volume **** is all the way to the ashtrays. Anyone knows if PPF will work or can be installed in that area? Concerned it is a wet process so would prefer to have it disassembled. So anyone has pointers how to dissemble that area?
I know my wife and she will scratch that area with her bracelets and purse in a matter of days. So I am trying to prevent that.....she is banned from taking the Q7 for now till I find how to protect that area. ;-)
Thanks in advance.
The piano black on center console is what I want to protect.

I had the piano black trim on my A8 console covered with paint protection film by my installer. If done properly, you will not even notice.

I know someone that left the screen protector tape that came with their phone on the screen. And then put a case around their phone, which also had a screen protector.
I also knew a person that didn't take the screen wrap off their new MacBook Pro and then after every use would shut the computer off completely, and put that microfiber cloth Apple used to give us on the keyboard and then close the lid.
To each their own but there's a limit.

I've actually put a few thin coats of Opti-Seal on it, and while it won't really prevent scratches it doesn't hurt to have it on there.
