Default Pot Hole from Hell

I was driving on a country road this morning enjoying the lovely sunny winter's day and on my way to a relative's memorial service and missed a pot hole. Bam! Jolted the hell out of me. Never saw it as it was in a shaded area. In the back of my head I'm thinking, damage? Didn't seem to handle any differently but then, about 2 miles down the road on came the low tire inflation lights. In addition, this Q has air-suspension and that warning light came on. I am on a narrow windy road with no place to pull over and I knew there was civilization about 5 miles further so I kept on going until I reached a parking lot. Run-flat tire was getting very low at this point. Called Audi Auto Assistance and it took the hauler about 2 hours to pick up the car and drive it an hour back to my local dealership. Needless to say I missed the memorial service.

I know the tire and/or wheel is probably a goner but I am really nervous about the air suspension. I would think that would be extremely pricey to repair. I know I can use my insurance but it would probably jack up my rate. Love winter.

So sorry.

I used to live in PA - and I do not miss the potholes - although I think last year SF was in the top ten for worse city roads (but I'm not buying that, I drove in Philly in December - wow.)

Living in NYC, I purchased tire/wheel coverage at the dealer.

I think, by consensus, NYC has been excluded from any tire/wheel coverage due to lack of any roads that would be otherwise considered PAVED, it's just one long pothole.........

I find it hard to believe NYC could be worse than PA, NY takes great care of its roads (maybe NYC is different).

Got my 7 back yesterday. Only damaged the tire. Wheel and suspension were fine. Phew! The reason it was in the shop so long was I ordered a new key. My spare has been missing for several months now. Anyway, I had purchased the assurance program so the tow, key, alignment and calibration were covered. I had to pay $50 deductible for the new tire and also bought some touch-up paint. Got away paying $78 instead of almost $1000.
