Default Q7 Bike carrier options (excluding tow hitch setup)

Looking for a bike carrier solution to use on the back of the car. I don’t have a tow hitch so cannot go that route.

How about a setup on the roof rack? I’ve some experience of similar types of racks on a sedan. It will it marks on the trunk door.

I have never used one but it’s hard to imagine that setup being as easy to use as hanging the bike in the rear.

Trunk mounts are fine if you don't care about paint scratches. If you do, then you either need to get a hitch and get a hitch mounted unit or go the roof rack route.

I’m 6’1, how would I manage to secure the bike onto the roof of my Q?

Not answering your question directly.
I am obsessive about the paint on my car, so had a hitch installed on my car. I am very impressed with what I got
