Question on Bird's Eye View in reverse
Hey all... new member... I have not been able to find info on this, but I am wondering what your experiences are.
When I go in reverse I get the split screen with the rear camera and the graphic view of the car on the right side. I change it to the bird's eye view and commence backing up . The setting will keep for a day, but then revert back to graphical. When I got a loaner car (Q7) the reverse defaulted to the birds eye view and stuck. I can not get this setting to stick for some reason. Is this all of your experience as well? I called audi service and they had no clue what to do. Is this a software error? Are all of you having the same issue? I wonder if I have a faulty camera, or old version of the software with a bug, or if this is intentional. I have a 2018 Q7 which I purchased in August of 2017.
TIA!

Try this:
The car switching to graphic view has been an ongoing problem that Audi has not addressed. I have found though that you can reduce the occurrences with the following changes in the MMI.
Using the MMI Menu select Vehicle/Drivers Assistance/Parking Aid and uncheck Activate Automatically and Auto Front/Rear Camera Change to deactivate them. I am finding that the switch only occurs about once a week or so. Not the total fix, but it seems to help a lot.

I just received a message from the Service Manager at my local dealer. In it he announces: "It came to my attention that the fix for the top view camera is in. I have availability Tuesday and on next week."
