Also normal pressure is 32 front 32 rear for the Q7. For max load it is 32 front 35 rear.

EDIT: I see you edited your post.
That is good to know. Thanks

That's done to avoid flat spots on the journey across the ocean. Should also be done if you ever store your car for an extended period. Somebody definitely skipped on the PDI if the car was delivered with 49psi. Wonder what else they left out. It's not unheard off, though. Sometimes people take delivery of a car that still has the shipping blocks in the springs. Makes for a terrible ride.

Thanks for clarifying! My fronts were set at heigh 40's when I checked them after delivery. I asked for my car not to be cleaned, but looks like they skipped a few other PDI checks.

You reference WEIGHT above. I am adding 700 lbs tonque weight to the rear tires.
Should I increase tire pressure to compensate?

It's dangerous to run 50psi on a car supposed to run 32psi.

Handling would be abysmal. Far less responsive and less grip in an emergency situation. A blowout is also more likely.

Also with motion the tires will get warmer and the pressure will further increase.

In a lot of cases, it IS.
First: max inflation pressure is with COLD tires; it is NOT the max operating pressure.
2nd: it is the max pressure the manufacturer recommend.
3rd: it is also the (cold, inflation) pressure the manufacturer makes the max load carrying statement for. If you don't inflate to that pressure and run the max specified load on the tire, THEN you run the risk of blowing up the tire.

The driver's door placard on my 2019 Prestige specifies the following tire pressures: 38 psi front/41 psi rear. However, my owner's manual shows tire pressures for two load conditions: for 2 passengers - 32 psi front/32 psi rear, and fully loaded - 38 psi front/41psi rear. I routinely drive with another passenger, a couple of dogs and a bunch of gear in the wayback. Any suggestions for a happy medium set of tire pressures between the 2 extremes in my owner's manual?

IMO, there is no wrong answer here. Set them at the reccomendation, and watch tire wear, and record drive feelings. Adjust as you see fit.

@mhoran89 I went back and looked at when I scaled my Q7/Boat combo last spring. Here's the weight change with the boat. Rear axle picks up 460lbs, and the front loses 120lbs. In retrospect, I probably don't need the extra tire pressure for towing. This was with 1/2 tank of fuel and just the wife and I in the car. Full tank of fuel, 2 boys, a dog, adn a weekends worth of camping gear probably swings this heavier.

I am pretty sure the OP is trolling this forum with this 50psi nonsense.
