Default Reasonable price under msrp

Hi!! Really debating on a new q7 for my wife. This will be my first luxury car. When I have purchased trucks or cars in the past I usually will get a pretty fair sum under msrp. My ram I paid 48k for a 67k msrp. Now that was the best I have ever done mind you but 10k is typical. Could anyone tell me on this caliber of vehicle what a reasonable amount on a q7 at 73k msrp would be. Right now they just give me a internet price of 68k so 5k off.

Also on a side note. If I buy and Audi the dealer is 2 hrs away. Can I take the car to a vw dealer for warranty claims?

I just bought a new Q7, got 19% off including incentives. One incentive was $3k conquest rebate.

No no you can’t take it to VW. My Audi dealer is 2hr 45min away.

Every dealership has different objectives and discount thresholds. My local dealership will not come close to the deal I can get from further high volume dealers. Local dealer would not go past 7% off even though I showed them I could get 10-15% of elsewhere. The 15% was on select in stock inventory.

others have suggested Costco which basically gets you pricing at invoice or slightly under.

If you want a larger percentage off buy used. Luxury vehicles values drop like a rock.

I’m seeing used ones for more than I paid. Hard pass.

I inquired via email and spend about a week pushing them. After a few negotiations tell them if they can come down X amount from there they’ll have a deal.

Is it unreasonable to want a 68k premium plus for 59k? That pretty much puts me at the budget after all the fees and taxes. I’m only wanting to put 30k down and I want a fair to medium payment. I can’t do 500 dollar payments. Or let’s say won’t do. This maybe too much of a car for me. Even at 68k msrp it’s a fairly low range q7. Maybe I need to stick with non luxury.

Here you go. Used cars under $50k sorted by lowest price. If you are putting $30k down you could have less than a $15,000 loan easily. If you increase the mileage the prices go down quite a bit.

You can definitely find a 2019 CPO prestige for $60k. You then get the benefit of CPO warranty.
