Recall: Fuel Rail

Thanks:
I just posted the issue . I always had my climate control set at 72 which was perfect. When driving back the CC was blowing cold air. It seemed fixed Sunday morning now it is back. I had to set it to the max setting the other day to get heat and today I had to set it well over 72.
Just another pain in the neck trip to the dealer to fix it.

For all of you getting the fuel rails replaced pleas let me know if they added coolant or if there is any reference to the Climate Control.
Please see my post about the coolant issue and my experience .
UPDATE: Service manager called and wants to make this right. So in fairness I'll work with them and keep you all in the loop.

I had a coolant pump leak which was separate, thus the sweet candy smell I had been wondering about.
But from what I understand it was completely unrelated to the fuel rail recall.....

PERFORM RECALL "24DP" FUEL RAILS
1044 W
1 06E-198-201-B REP.SET
6 06E-998-906 REPAIR KIT
1 G-013-A8J-1G COOL.ADD.
PERFORMED 24DP; REPLACED LEFT AND RIGHT LOW PRESSURE FUEL RAILS.
I guess "COOL.ADD." could be some coolant was added.
In addition, my Q7 also had the leaking water pump and it was fixed last month.

Also, I sniffed under the hood last night, and I swear I smelled some gasoline...or you guys got me paranoid or something. So the Q is sitting outside now until next week when she goes in for the recall

I have checked ours several times to be safe, and 0 fuel smell, had the wifey check as well...if you think there's a fuel smell why take a chance? Have someone else with a good sniffer verify.

I'm not taking a chance, the Q is sitting outside on the other side of the driveway, far from the house. I'v even moved my appointment from April (to coincide it with my 2 yr appt), to next week.

Injector O-ring failure
I've had a gas smell occasionally on my 2012 A7. I see there's a new recall for fuel rails and injector seals. Mine is at the Audi dealership right now and they're saying an injector O-ring is leaking. OK, 7 year old car. Things happen. But then I'm thinking about the fuel rail recall we had a couple years ago. Wouldn't that be the same fuel rail that they're now recalling?
