Recall: Fuel Rail

Normally I too would just wait until the next service. But this one has the risk of fire, and I do park mine in the garage under my house. While low probably of it happening, I do want to get it fixed ASAP. I've even considered parking outside until it's fixed, but ughhh, it's winter! Keeping my nose open for any faint odor of gas.

If you're concerned until you can bring it in, just check if there's any fuel odor under the hood when the engine is running, checked ours, so far so good.

We just popped the hood last week to add a quart of oil (7,000 miles since last oil service and got low oil warning). No noticeable smell of gas, but it was outdoors, in our driveway.
Got the letter couple days ago.
Our lease runs out in August, but since it's a fire hazard, we'll get the recall work done ASAP.

We are moving to our second home next week and we will bring ours in for the recall the following week or as soon as the dealer there can get us in. I/we have been carefully checking for fuel odors in the garage upon returning home and before departing with the engine running to stay safe in the interim.
