But then I'm thinking about the fuel rail recall we had a couple years ago. Wouldn't that be the same fuel rail that they're now recalling?
Certainly worth looking into and pointing out to the SA.

Smart move...as Remo in the movie Casino wisely said: "why take a chance?"

Sorry I have no idea. They also worked on my driver door rattle issue, and the whole thing took 2.5 days to complete (including a day waiting for the window guard parts); however I believe the recall was done on the first day.

What was the cause of your driver door rattle? I complained about this a year ago and they couldn't figure it out, but it basically went away after a while. Thanks

The cause was the deformed (they used the word fatigued this time) window channel guide. When the channel guide is bad, the glass hits the rubber and makes the noise. The rubber had been replaced twice in the past two years, we will see how long it will last this time.

You are also correct that it goes on and off sometimes. I have been at the dealers at least 4 times for this issue, and they could not hear a darn thing in two of the visits.

It's No. 7 in the image below:

I'm in Canada, Q7 is made in June 2018 I think and no letter of recall so far.
Is there any date or reference which models are affected? or maybe should call dealer to check?

This is the US site for checking the recalls by VIN:
Audi Recall Services by Vehicle Identification Number

Not sure if this also works for Canadian market.
