Reverse won't retain overhead camera view instead of graphic

Audi's software system seems to have a problem retaining settings. When I put the car in reverse, the left 2/3's of the middle screen shows the rear camera. The right 1/3 shows a graphic of the car with the "path track" in red lines. If, while in reverse, you press the "+" button, there is a drop down option for the right side view to switch between "Graphic" and "Overhead Camera". When I select this, I get the overhead camera view (which I think is 10x more helpful!).

For the next few drives, I will continue to get the overhead camera when I backup. But then it will default back to the graphic view and I have to go through the process again. Anyone know what I am doing wrong or how to fix this so it permanently retains the camera view when backing up? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Numerous threads about this in this forum, Q5, A4, A5, etc forums.
It's a software glitch that we tried to get Audi to fix for at least the last year and a half. There finally is a TSB out that takes care of it. Have your dealer install it.

There is a long thread in the Q7 forum regarding this, and as stated above a recent TSB that addresses it. They will update the software on your MMI. Some people have reported continued issues, though others (and myself) have found it to fix the problem. HOWEVER, if you use the google map overlay (ie, you are in your Audi Prime free trial or you pay for it), the Google map overlay has been reported to look horrible after the update. If, instead, you use the standard Audi Nav map or plug your phone in for nav, then you will be OK.

Well, TIL that there's a supposed fix for the issue already.

Is there a place that keeps track of when software updates come out? Last I was at the dealership was for my 10K last September or October and I don't visit the dealership frequently outside of scheduled maintenance.

Can anyone post the TSB number for this update?
Thanks.

My 2018 had same issue and took many trip to dealer but still a problem despite different TSB. It was eventually fixed with a new firmware. I gave them their version which I found on the firm and they did it.
