Default Roof Bars?

Hey Guys,

My wife bought a 2017 Q7 over the summer and I have yet to get the proper footing and bars such that we can use our existing Thule Cargo carrier. I've noticed Audi sells a Footing/Bar package for $460, but Thule and Yamima have similar systems.

Can anyone comment on Audi, Thule and Yakima systems on the 2017 Q7?

I have the Thule on mine. Install is a breeze and I opted for Thule since they offer an all black setup to match my black optics.

Looks fantastic. Her Q7 is Ink Blue, which looks nearly black in most lights. I think the black bars would look great. Does your set-up whistle or make noise when the carrier is OFF? Im thinking once I put it on, I'll likely leave it for several months at a time.

We got her the same set-up. Install is easy, and they're pretty quiet. If i drive the Q alone, with NO music or HVAC, I can hear a slight whistle. My wife, however, hasn't complained one bit!! Using two 5 little ropes and a few good hitch knots we carried a Christmas tree roughly 250 miles - no problems - this past weekend.
