This February had the highest snow in 100 years (or something like) so yeah it's uncommon.

Been trying to lurk Craigslist for a used set of wheels or tires, but proving to be impossible to find wheels with the correct offset and tires in the right size to match the OEM.
Discount Tire. Total is about $2300 (incl. tax, tire warranty, etc.). I will get $50 rebate because I applied for and paid with their credit line (through Synchrony which I already have 2 other retail credit lines). The financing comes with 12-month 0% interest.

If you prefer, Audi OEM winter set is available for $2800 (not incl. tax, only manufacturer's warranty). You'll save at least $700 by going custom and Asanti wheels are very well-built.

Default To Pete’s point

I concur, the Hakkas have been amazing for us. In 2 seasons, we’ve driven most large hills in Bellevue and Seattle, gone over the pass to Suncadia, and driven up to Whistler. No spinning, no slipping, no sliding. This has been my first winter tire experience and I won’t use another brand if I can help it.
