Service Manuals for Dash Cam Install and More
I should be getting my 2019 Q7 in the next few weeks. I plan to install a dual dashcam system myself if at all possible. The local shops only sell cheap dashcams and being kinda rural they have very little experience with dashcams in general so I am not sure I trust them. My only other option would be a long drive and longer wait and a high priced install in Portland. I have fair amount of electrical and electronics experience and equipment so that is not an issue.
What I do not have is the specifics for the Q7 as far as things like panel removal procedures, etc. For that, as well as possible future repairs/upgrades, it would be nice to have a service manual to detail these things. I have searched some other threads and the best I can come up with for that information is this option:
2019 Q7 manual
1) Has anyone used this and does it give the information on panel removal I need?
2) Does anyone know of a better and/or cheaper option?
Thanks!

Hi,
This thread has all the answers you are looking for. It was extremely helpful when I got my front dashcam, and when I decided to wire my rear dashcam, panel removal pictures and links (towards end of the thread) made it a super clean rear cam install.

Yes, the Audi factory manuals show how to remove panels, and the mirror housing etc. My 2017 service manuals do not specifically cover dash cams though, but I think an Audi dash cam is an option in other countries.

I will attach the Audi UTR installation manual (Q7 diagrams are in it) - maybe it will help https://drive.google.com/open?id=1gs...pEnDne5PbAKqdr

make sure you measure the distance from the front camera to the rear camera if you route the cable along the sill plates as shown in the manual. The stock wire from Blackvue may not be long enough and you will need to order a longer cable. I tried it with my Blackvue 590 and the wire was short. I had to reroute along the headliner.
