setting map as default screen
Hello
My wife would kike to have the map display be the default screen. other info she gets from the heads up display. i think this option is on the 2018 and hers is a 2017. has anybody tried to do this?
Thanks
Rod

If you put it on full screen map it will come back to a different screen (Don't remember which) when you start it next time, I'd always keep full size map if it would stay there.

I just went out to lunch and tested both Map settings on the dash screen, If you turn the vehicle off with the full screen map it defaults back to the screen that shows the Q7, if you leave it with the map just in the center of the screen, tachometer and speedometer full size on both side, it defaults back to time and date in the center once you restart it.

Answer depends on whether you are taking about the Virtual Cockpit screen or the center MMI screen.
For the VC, you can disable some of the tabs using OBD11 if you never use those tabs, but I don't think you can make it remember the last viewed tab (2017).

Apologies for reviving this thread from the crypt. I have a 2018 S5 Prestige, and my virtual cockpit always starts in the car info screen, even though I always have it manually set to the nav/map screen when turning off the ignition. What is the secret to get ot to remember the nav/map screen??
