Default Splash Guards = Worth it? Any Pics?

Hi All,

I've been hanging around this site for a bit and just about ready to pull the trigger. Was thinking of getting the splash guards. Does any one else have them? Can you share pics? Curious as to how it would look. If it will add to or detract from exterior view.

thanks,

J

Splash guards always detract from the looks, but it's really dependent on how large they are as to the aesthetic damage. For example, the guards on the Q5 come in a couple of sizes, and one size is huge and ugly but the other is quite inconspicuous.

Where I live, gravel is dumped on the roads in the winter so I will be getting a set. If I lived somewhere where there this wasn't standard practice, I wouldn't get the the guards. I also put 3M on the rocker panels.

I have some rear's to put on the car when she arrives in May, more to stop the dirt accumulation on the tailgate as I have had on every estate to date. At £80 a pair I am struggling to see how Audi can justify the cost but if it keeps it cleaner I will be happy with my decision.

Installed Audi front splash guards this afternoon. Fairly inconspicuous, and just big enough to be somewhat helpful. Took an hour for both sides.

Did you have to remove the tires to install?

Anyone else purchased these and have pics front and rear?

Can they be ordered to match paint vs black?

TIA

I have only seen them offered in black.

I removed the rear wheels to install as shown in the instructions. You might just be able to do it with the rear wheels on if you have a very low-profile right-angle drill chuck and you shorten a drill bit. There isn't much clearance with the rear wheels on.
