Which sway control bar for towing?
Will be towing rockwood a192hw, gvwr 3400lbs. Have 2018 3.0 with factory towing package, standard non-air suspension.
I know a weight distribution system is a no-go, but have seen folks here mention using a sway control bar. For those who use them, which one is recommended?

I use a friction sway controller similar to this: https://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Dist...ils=.questions
I think all the friction sway controllers are pretty similar.
Depending on your ball mount, you will have to have the sway control tab welded to your ball mount or you may be able to use an adapter similar to this: https://www.etrailer.com/p-RP26003.html

I read somewhere that Q7 with factory installed hitch already has some built in sway control that uses ABS system to help with sway. I did research, and could not find proof... except when I was towing this past week, I had absolutely no sway... so maybe it was working?

So I accidentally started this question in the MKII forum. I have an 2012 Q7 with no adaptive suspension. We just bought a 23’ travel trailer, dry weight 4900 hitch weight 550. The unit came with a WD hitch and we tried to use it with poor
results. One of the brackets that held the sway bar on the trailer A frame bent and the WD can’t be used. Want to ditch that and go with standard hitch. My receiver height is 18” and my trainer tongue height is 23”. What tow bar should I use?

I have a 2017 Q7 3.0 with the towing package and am towing a 2019 Airstream 19 foot Flying Cloud 19CB GVWR 4500 lbs. The Audi dealer had recommended the Equalizer sway control hitch, but when I read the user manual it said that it is not recommended (but maybe I am understanding it incorrectly?). Does anybody have any experience with this? Attached is a photo of my setup. Thanks.
