Tail lights don't work after lifting rear hatch
2017 Q7 Prestige.
Perfect car so far (36,000 miles).
When the headlights are on and the rear hatch is opened, my rear running lights and rear tail lights stop working. The lights in the bumper are the ones that act as my tail lights and running lights.
Anybody else have that?

Designed to work like this. Since the standard taillights are built into the hatch they can't be seen when the hatch is open. The bumper lights turn on so the rear can be seen. Safety.
