Default Tow Package Trailer Brake Control - Curt

I saw Audi Parts site recommends the Curt Triflex Brake Controller for my tow package pre-wired 2018 Q7.

https://parts.audiusa.com/p/Audi_201...ZAW055204.html

This just happens to be the same exact controller that I installed on my old Q5 several years ago. I have no problem with it, and it appears that it has a direct plug-in (this is good - no wire splicing!).

QUESTION: That said, does anyone have any suggestions on placement? Did anyone have the dealer install this? If so, where did THEY install it?
On my Q5, I installed it below the light switches just in front/left of my left knee.
Anyone have any photos? Any other suggestions for brake controller?

(FYI, the Audi site above actually says: "To increase usability, the CURT TriFlex Brake Controller can be easily mounted in numerous locations within the vehicle"... I am wondering what "Numerous" locations you would put this).
(ALSO FYI...
Audi's price is WAY too high - better pricing direct from CurtMFG or Amazon).

This thread has pics of my Prodigy brake control location as well as a different setup from LarryV: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-...-pics-2936631/
I was not familiar with the Curt TriFlex brake controller, so looked it up. Like the Prodigy I use, it does not need to be mounted flat, which is a good thing. That allows for the mounting locations like LarryV and I have done. Some controllers need to be flat, which limits where you can put them. etrailer.com is a good source of information, and often as decent prices as well. https://www.etrailer.com/Brake-Contr...rt/C51140.html
It does look like that plug will fit directly into the Audi plug, rather than needing an adapter harness like the Prodigy did, so nice find!

I have used etrailer.com as a source before with my Q5 which is how i originally found out about the Curt. It is not required to be mounted flat either. It "auto levels" itself when you first turn it on.
LarryV's discussion showing the mounting position is about where I mounted in the Q5... Thinking about using some Industrial strength Velcro to mount the bracket to the car so that the entire bracket and control can be unplugged and removed when not in use. I have rather long legs, and don't like bumping my shins when entering/exiting. My ONLY problem with the Curt is that one of the adjuster dials is on the top of the unit, making it so you must have a bracket that allows such access. Otherwise it worked awesome. But if i Velcro the bracket, it should be good. There is not much weight to hold.
