Default Towing package and 7 pin connector for towing hitch

Towing package: $550
7 pin connector for towing hitch: $125

Maybe a stupid question as I have never towed anything -- where is the 7 pin connector for towing hitch? I wonder if the dealership forgot? My Jeep came with an adapter and the tow hitch looks pretty much the same as the Audi.

Also, is this a class 3 or 4?

The salesman told me that they had almost forgot to put the tow hitch rubber insert before I drove off? Is this weird? Why wouldn't this already be in the tow hitches? I noticed a scratch on the rear bumper and had them buff it out -- do all these things possibly add up to rear bumper damage that they covered up prior to selling the vehicle?

I think I figured it out. Audi's do not include any adapter for the 7 pin harness. The 7 pin harness is attached next to the 2" receiver, but I'm guessing no adapters are provided? Can anyone confirm this?

Also, Audi's website doesn't distinguish what Class tow hitch it is. 7700 lbs is quite a bit. Hoping it's Class 4?

Or, if you want to save money -
Amazon Amazon
- same item.
If you have the factory tow option, they don't stick the rubber cap on at the factory - too easy to fall off.

It's a class III hitch. Be careful regarding max towing capacity, there are multiple variables that go into that number which is not always a max towing capacity for YOUR SPECIFIC APPLICATION. See my previous post here: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-.../#post24996351
