Anyone have issues getting this to work most of the time?

We don't do a wave at all...slight kick action in and out works every time.

I do a straight pretty fast quick, it has to be under the middle of the bumper. Works 90% of the time.

Exactly... This is how mine works, takes a little getting used to but and "in and out" kick works best..

I line my left leg up with hitch receiver, sweep right foot under at 45 degree angle, works every time.

No problem getting it to work most of the time. Getting it to work all of the time however, follows the rest of the tech in my experience in my Q7. MMI works, most of the time. Backup overhead camera works, most of the time. ACC works, most of the time. It's a most of the time car.

After your kick make sure you step back or it won't open.

I have the same "most of the time" issue. Android auto voice commands, lock or unlock car with just my hand, even tuning to a radio station using presets. This thing drivers me nuts. Even the predictive driving warning icons only come up some of the time. So frustrated as when you spend this much money, the electronics should have been thoroughly tested and work 100% of the time. Right now I would settle for 90%.
