So I'm trying to figure out what the acceptable settings are for utilizing video playback through an SD card. I put a bunch of movies on a trip in March and found out that only a fraction of them worked. I now know that it needs to be an MP4 codec, but what about the other settings? Resolution, frame rate, etc?
Your help on this will be greatly appreciated (by my kids too)

From what I remember, the manual said the bitrate has to be below 2,000kbs and the resolution 720 pixels across or lower. It's spotty though, as I have files that meet the requirements (I limited encoding to 1,500kps and 480p) and they don't play.
