Hi all,

Has anyone vinyl wrapped or plasti dipped the trim on their Q7 to make it look like it has the titanium-black optics package? I take delivery tomorrow and the car we purchased was at the port and doesn't have the package, and I prefer the look of the contrasting trim. I don't want to purchase all new trim, that would be a complete waste of money.

While the BOP is cool, it only enhances some colors, imho. White is one of them. Let us know what you find

There is a video of a Q7 being wrapped in Australia at a dealership. They show the trim as plastidiped and some wrapped. Google for the video and you can see it.

Properly done, plasti dip should not come off in a car wash, otherwise most likely no one would be using it on their cars.

I was going to try this today but ran into to a bit of an issue. I need to cover up the radiator behind the front grill but I was unable to get all the plastics off to get back there to cover it up,. I also noticed that in front of the radiator there are these vents that open when the car stops and eventually closes. But it doesn't close all the way and also it stays open for a length of time after you turn the car off. Anyone know how to close these vents all the way?
