what is the difference between Q7 my18 and my17

There are some differences. Depending on the trim, certain options (MY17) have now become standard on the MY18. What trim are you looking at (Premium / Premium Plus / Prestige)? Since your profile does not have a location, which part of the world are you planning to buy in?

Some observations:
1. Advanced key now standard on the 2.0 Prem.
2. Bose radio now part of the Prem Plus pkg.
3. Wood inlay next to shifter has been replaced with metal on 2.0's.

I think the 2018 Q7 can be ordered with ventilated front seats as a separate option not packaged together with a bunch of other expensive things which I personally care very little about. This is the option I would add to my car on a heartbeat, but when I was buying my P+ it wasn't possible.

Cold weather package now includes heavy floor mats, and they raised the price $150 for that.
Soft-close doors now are standard on Prestige, and don't require Luxury Package.

The '18 "Ventilation Package" for P+ gives you ventilated 4-way adjustable seats and window shades. Looks like you have to get a Prestige for 12-way adjustable seats.
