White smoke from exhaust
Hi I just got a 2.0 Q7 2018 . I have noticed from time to time that white smoke coming from the exhaust in the morning . I took the car to the dealer and they could not recreate it and check everything and they told it looks ok. I talked to another service center and they said it is normal for car to do that . It can be condensation . I am in Houston and it is so hot here . I do not expect a 65000 dollar cart to do that .

Not reported here, but it happens on my BMW from time to time if the car has been sitting for a couple of days. I think it has to do with the turbo seal and oil leaking back into the engine, which creates smoke on startup. Usually this is as oil wears down and becomes thinner and leaks back into the engine. Since the 2.0 is a turbo, this could be the case for you too. I would have the turbo seals looked at under warranty and replaced if needed.

Oil will normally have a blue tint to it. Water on the other hand is typically white. Not unusual if you park your car overnight and the air temperature drops a bit, condensation will form in the exhaust system. After you start your car in the morning the water will turn to steam until it all evaporates. Keep an eyes on your cooling system if you have any concerns but I don't think you have anything to be concerned about.

A very slight amount oil burning may make the smoke appear greyish vs blue
It could also be unburned fuel, here's example: if you do an overnight cold start in your garage then back it out to the driveway then turn it right off, you can get a puff of white smoke when restarting again after say 20 mins or so. During the cold start process there's a richer mixture and some unburned fuel may not have been fully combusted so the subsequent start may be a very mildly richer one. I realize a rich mixture during normal driving can cause a dark almost black smoke but with todays ultra efficient cats that may no longer be the case.
