I am thinking about getting a Q7 for a variety of reasons, one of which is to take 4 golfers on golf trips. Does anyone know if a set of golf clubs will sit sideways in the cargo area? They wouldn't in my old Q7 (I think if I removed the drivers, I could crunch them in). Anyone know the width of the current Q? (We are going to check it out at the dealer, but can't get there until late next week.) Thanks for any info you can offer.

47 inch at hatch, widening to 51 inch behind 2nd row, forget where my clubs are, but if Tiger can make a comeback...

Just tested mine earlier today, and yes they fit sideways, but just barely.

Thanks--that is kind of what I recall from my old Q--they fit with a bit of effort. I think they would fit more easily if I took the driver out.
