I believe NJ has the same law regardless of where you live in NJ.
NJ Tint law:
Windshield: No tint is allowed on the windshield. Front Side windows: No tint can be applied legally to this window. Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used. Rear Window: Any darkness can be used.

My wife uses the static cling sunshade film on the driver side window when she is driving.

In NJ you can also get a form from DMV that if your eye doctor agrees to sign will allow you to have tinted front door windows but the catch is that you can only have 1 vehicle registered in your name with the tint allowed. I have yet to do this but if I do get a ticket at some point my eye doctor already said he's sign the form.

Unfortunately for those of us who live in California - CA does not allow medical exemptions to the motor vehicle window tint laws. However the recent updated law does allow an exemption if you have a doctor’s RX and the tint must be removed at night. So the best we can have is to have a "removable" tint for front windows.

Finally got our windows tinted. Went with 35% on top of factory and 20% in front. I'm no longer squinting while driving (With Sunglasses) in sunny days and it makes the car look nice.
BTW, I'm glad we chose Graphite Gray Metallic, the color really hides how filthy the car really is in these pictures.
