Default Winter wheels/tires

Just ordered a Graphite Grey "progressiv" trim (aka premium plus) Q7 yesterday. I really like going with minus size wheels for the winter, so I would prefer 18s, but so far Tirerack has no wheels listed in that size. Anyone running 18s?

To answer my own question, Audi Germany's website shows 18" wheels available there, so it is likely some/most 18" wheels will fit. Tire size is 235-65/18.

You can also check the Owner's Manual (on-line) for what tires/wheels are recommended for the Q7.

I'd check with Gary at Tire Rack. However, the vehicle is so new they may not have had time to see what 18" wheels will bolt up and provide necessary clearances. He hooked us with with 16" wheels for our Avant and there are very few 16" that fit.

Congratulations on the new ride!

see link below. 19in wheels in the American catalog. 19x8.0 ET?? (I assume it's the same offset as below at 28) 255/55/19 tires.
standard 19in wheels that comes with the base model is 19x8.5 ET28.
255/55/19 should work with both 8.0 or 8.5 width.

2017 Audi Q7. #Q7W19P001: Q7 winter Wheel and Tire Package

Interestingly in Audi Q7 2016 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com (I think it's a european managed site) They list a winter wheel at 18" with ET25, and with 255/18/60 profile.

Hopefully I can buy the 19" winter wheels separately. Or try to find a set of similar 19" used Q5 wheels. I already have a set of Nokian Hakka SUV R2 winter tires in 255/55/19. From my experience, Nokian winter tires are far better than those Pirelli winter tires. However, are those Pirelli winter tires run flats? Right now the Hakka SUV R2 run flat is only available in 255/50/19.
