Seen it on ebay last night http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-...fCarsQ5fTrucks looks ok, a repaint, doubt it cost him 5000$ to repaint it tho unless maybe it was restored? Has no underneath pics.

I like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-...fCarsQ5fTrucks

Auction ended tho.

It's very easy to spend $5000 on a good paint job...

Ok, Im sure you're right. Sorry to have misspoke, I didn't realize that you have seen the car in person and could judge the paint job he claimed to have paid $5000 for.

my paint job was well over $5k...stripped to bare metal. Plus, I wasn't charged for having the wheels redone or a 2nd primer sanding and re-application due to body shops error. After that, I made him sand every friggin coat of primer, base coat and clear coat. Probably 30-40 hours of hand sanding in my paint job! That's $1500 right there!

It's not that i seen it but in the description it says drivers door has small spots of cracked paint (not very visible). "Usually" that's an indication of either a paint chemical reaction or not well sanded. Then again could just mean a paint chip.

Car def worth a once over for an interested buyer and probs impeccable from under to top.

If the car was stripped to bare i deff would believe it tho but for a clearcoat fade (sometimes it can be water/color sanded and buffed out) i'm pretty skeptical. Sorry i know i'm hard headed lol.

gmbchef I can see why it costed you so much on the paint job, that i def believe, paint stripping, and all that quality sanding, repair of the smashed rocker, rusted wheel well, lots of work there.
