any thing to look for when purchasing a ur quattro
I am looking at an 83 quattro I have not seen it in person but I would like some general idea of Ur quattro specific problems I have worked at a dealership and own some quattro cars currently 2 1984 4000s quattros so I am used to some quattro problems. But I would like to be well informed before coming

Besides the body/undercarriage, check things that
are specific to the urquattro. If you worked at a dealer and are familiar with the 4kq's then you already have a good knowledge of Audis. I would say make sure the previous owner(s) didn't mickey mouse any repairs.

Get all the records too. These cars were passed round so you want to know the history...
...key stuff, bomb, tie-rods, radiators, suspension parts (bushing etc), Oil cooler and hoses in and out (very expensive to replace) and if the car is modded make sure to get documentation so you know what has been done to it in case you have a problem down the road. Any question on parts and where to get them, just post here. Chances are one of us will know what to do. I'd definately buy one thou. So much fun to drive.
