Same one. I met him in Monterey in 99 and he had it then.
Then it got wrecked by one of the 2B guys, sat for a while, then Dean decided to try and fix it.
Plus....apparently now he has a Sport quattro!!
Nice guy too. He took a fellow UPG'er for a ride in the urq at Lime Rock on the back roads. Al was scared it was so fast. Right Al???

I saw that car in person in milwaukee
It was sitting on a trailer at 'Oreilly Motor Car Service (great local audi place, the owner drives an UrS6 avant) Sweet car, I had my UrS in there for an alignment

His car that I really like the best (though that 26k mile old perfect condition white '86 Sport quattro is amazing) is the left hand drive European 1991 Ur-Quattro. I'm just guessing, but, I believe that is truly a one-of-a-kind car in the US. Absolutly gorgeous.

Working on a story about Dean and his cars...talked to him about it on Saturday while at the track
He has a Sport Quattro, UrQ, euro UrQ, coupe quattro....a 4000 Quattro..and two 356 Porsches. Nice garage huh?
