Anyone have a pic of how the ECU mounts on the old style dash? The brain is wraped up in a towel flopping around on the floor. Thanks

ECU mounts on the right end of the glovebox.

My ECU was loose too, and wrapped in a plastic bag....

Seems that the 'end of glovebox' location may be a place that water may get in? Looked like my ECU case had gotten wet, and there is some rust up in that area.

The glove box is out of the car, and i didn't attempt to put it back in yet. I have all the interior stuff in boxes, and there are like squared off metal brackets with carpet covering..any ideas what the hell they are too? I've been so busey under the car i havent even tried to put the interior back together.

The ECU mounts between the right end of the glovebox, and the outer wall of the car.

As so, seen from the right side of the car, sort of as if standing, looking in the passenger door (But with the car out of the way. Notice the 'crusties' on the ECU, where it looks as if the padding got wet at some time in it's life):

And for those 'mystery bits' that you don't know where they go? I'd suggest posting pics of them. Someone will know where they go, I'm sure!
