Default You need the whole strut assembly?? What happened??

You can also try Dads auto recylcing in Colorado. I know they have at least 1 urq in the yard. Or, even Shokan. 1-800-all-audi

Stut housing, right part number is
857 412 026B and they are very difficult to find.
If the tube holding shock absorber is bend fast fix is to cut tube from rear strut housing from 4000 Quattro and welded it in.. I have done before and it works if done right. Rear strut housings from 4000 Quattro are easy to get and they cost nothing.
For strut housing original you can try also Bruno at Quattro Center in New York of Sprongle brothers at Four Star Racing in Canada. If you need just shock absorber insert I have planty of them laying around.

Default Semple first, then TPC, then Shokan...

...Urban Legend has it that Shokan has like 15 Urq parts cars in a sercret location (smells like horse poop too me) but always call Force 5 first. If he don't have it he'll know a different part that will work. HTH

Default Thanks for the help so far... Heres where i'm at now. Keep help coming QUICK!

Strut came off at the lower ball joint on the expressway.

I basically lost all wear on a brand new tire, broke the whole strut assembly, and ball joints. Not to mention the quarter panel is warped from the wheel bouncing around the wheel well.

But the body is not bad enough to not go to this show.

Anyways... i called Anderson motorsports in MN. Kieth is a real great guy there. He said he'd hook me up with one for $400, is this good?

He also told me that a very good reason a strut could come loose like that (only on the lower part) is if the wrong ball joints were put in. He said its very easy to mix them up with the CGT joints. This is very ironic, in that the day before this happened i had just gotten my car back for new ball joints.

I called the place to ask what ball joints they put in... they couldnt get me a for real part number.. but they gave me this number...

K9349

If anyone could get me any info on that, it would really really help.

I have a question though... would these:

http://www.modacar.com/audi/struts_audi.htm

work? Only $140 more but then i get all four, instead of one....

now help me out quick!! go go go!!
hehe

Default If Keith has one for $400 then buy it. To find one cheaper could take you a year...

...searching for one. P# doesn't ring a bell. I'll post it to the 4k CGT guys see what they say. Good Luck.
