I need a coolant overflow tank
My car overheated and practically melted my overflow tank. I took the cap off and the tank was so hot that the threads melted and i ant get the lid back on. I'm hoping that 2Bennett has one, but if not if any one has one lemme know how much.

I'm pretty sure they changed the tank around 1985 - but conversion might be good.
SOmewhere in there they added a coolant level sensor and also changed the hose that goes from the bottom of the resevoir to the radiator bottom. The older hoses fitting 83 might not be availble.
SO I'm not sure - but it might be possible to at least get a low coolant warning in the cockpit. Converting so you can use newer hoses may not matter considering audi's history. These newer hoses will probably become NLA soon also.
Corrections or tips on this are welcome. I hear it's possible to loose you coolant and not notice it.
