I'm ready to use my California strut.

I had my doubts about Martin's recommendation on turning the strut to get the CV joint out of this bent strut - but it worked immediately. Thank you Martin.
The one with the H&R spring on it is bent. Was the strut bearing supposed to just fall off and roll under the car? The wheel bearing on the replacement is wobbly - so I'll have to have that replaced at a shop, hopefully re-using the wheel hub. Do my other parts for the swap seem OK?
A guy in CA sold me what are supposed to be urq springs - I'd like to try them.

Putting together again..
I don't think the bearing is *supposed* to come apart from the rubber bits that way. But then, the bearings in my blue strut tops did the same thing, so maybe they are?
Wheeel bearing *may* be wobbly, because it does not have the cv joint in them middle holding the two parts together. I'd look for a confirming opinion. But with the CV joint snugged up, I think no wobleage should be happening.
Check the link for a Worldpac strut mount listing. That brand is supposed to be 'the good brand', and it's no where near 150.00
I'd imagine US worldpac dealers would have similar pricing?<ul><li><a href="http://parts.autopartsonlinecanada.com/parts/apocanada/wizard.jsp?year=1983&make=AU&model=COU-QT-001&category=L&part=Strut+Mount">Aftermark et Strut Mount Listing</a></li></ul>

You are welcome! Yeah, it's not a big deal.. the strut bearing is simply pressed...
into the rubber/steel portion.
Frank is correct, wheel bearing may be wobbly untill snugged with CV joint, however, I've learnet over the years.. you have it apart and it's cheap enough to do now, do it! Just change it and kill the surprise.

I am just interested in the steering arm. I have another damaged strut and have a little project
in mind. Like I need more projects...
If you are looking for something in trade, let me know. Ur q parts are not something that I have a shortage of.
