Default Left rear directional on the fritz

removing and replacing the blub makes it work for a few times. Then it stops, so I get the "fast" indicator on the dash. Bulbs don't burn out, just don't work.

It sometimes works/doesn't work when activated. Any ideas?

Default Valium, 84urq is right, had this problem with my 4kq...

...your light bulb isn't making a good enough connection. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Had that happen on my 83, first the right side taillight marker wouldn't light and then the left went blinky super fast on occasion...I wound up presenting a different "permanent" approach to it, so easy, after popping out the steel connection "maze" from the actual plastic assembly ( be very slow and careful not to totally mangle the plastic "blobs" that hold the "maze" in place ) clean like you've never cleaned before..kill the corrosion that is hiding and festering to return when a cop sits behind you at a stoplight-turn, reassemble , press hard, take a flat tipped solder iron on low heat and firmly "remelt the plastic blobs down to hold the maze back in its proper home....works like new, lasts and lasts and gives a world of confidence in turn signal / taillights.

Default I had same prob...

One of the connections in the "maze" was slightly overheated, and caused it to become undone.
Chris Semple hooked me up with a new used one for small change.
