Because I'm apparently a masochist I was in the fuse block trying to track my no power mirror issue. After having no luck there I stuffed it all back up and voila, no crank. Ignition switch to load reduction relay and all lights on, but no starter cranking. Car has been just fine till now. Actually in almost 20 years the only no crank I have hd was with a dead battery. What if anything did I disturb in the rats nest Audi calls a fuse block?

Hopefully this will not result in a trip to the Auto Electric shop.

I think not as I found a non factory splice in the wire to the starter realy that had started to fail. Hopefully ready to go soon.
