The third annual Old School Audi quattro gathering will be held <B>July 28-30, 2006 in Cumberland, Maryland</B>! This is a special event focused on older quattro models up to and including the 1995.5 S6, although anybody is welcome to attend. We are guests of <A HREF="http://www.nationalroadrally.com/index.html" target="_blank">National Road Autosport</A>, and the main activity of the weekend is autocrossing. However, we also make plenty of time for meeting people, sharing stories, and looking under hoods, along with seeing the countryside. Drivers with all levels of driving experience will be present, and beginners are certainly welcome! Cumberland is a great place to get started in autocrossing, and there are plenty of friendly, experienced people who will be more than happy to help you out. This is a meeting of enthusiasts who want to have FUN with these wonderful cars!

The event will kick off Friday the 28th at with an informal get-together so folks can get to know one another. Saturday features an amazing airport autocross, a fun mountain cruise, and a spectacular picnic featuring plenty of great foods! The event continues with another airport autocross on Sunday for those who wish to stay for another day of racing.


<B><U>Schedule:</U></B>

Friday:


7:00 PM: Informal get-together at a location to be determined in historic downtown Cumberland


Saturday:


7:00 AM: Registration and technical inspection open at Greater Cumberland Regional Airport


9:30 AM: First car off the line


Mid-afternoon: Autocross wraps up, mountain cruise begins


Evening: picnic at McCagh's farm and Corvette museum


Sunday:


Autocross schedule same as Saturday for those wishing to stay and race another day


Our two previous events have been very successful and fun, featuring a variety of older Audis from all over the eastern U.S. An article about the 2005 event can be found on <A HREF="https://www.audiworld.com/news/05/osq/" target="_blank">AudiWorld</A>. We're hoping to see even higher attendance this year, so we hope to see you there! Advance registration is highly recommended, as this event is likely to fill up. Advance registration can be performed by filling out the <A HREF="http://www.nationalroadrally.com/pdf/2006MountainStateEntry.pdf" target="_blank">PDF Registration Form</A> and mailing it in. As with our previous events, a special T-shirt will been designed to commemorate the event. The shirt design is still in the works, but will be equal to or better than previous designs! The preliminary design is shown below, along with the 2005 design. Please note that these are all relatively low-resolution images to speed up download time. The actual files used to make the shirt are much higher resolution.

Shirts will be $15 each, and can be made in any size you like. If you can't make it to the event, you can still buy a shirt. Shirts shipped to your door will be $20 per shirt, including shipping and handling. The shirts will be waiting for you when you arrive at the event, or at your mailbox if you can't make it! These also make great gifts for any Audi enthusiast!

This is truly a great event for any Audi enthusiast. You will meet some great people, see some great cars, and have an absolute blast! We hope to see you in August!
