Default No idea on history, but Clarke has had couple in the past...

Looks a bit rough, but can't complain considering price..

Default I have one of them..

The urq that I have has seen the 'hand of Clarke', as a one of it's previous owners in it's colorful past.

Default is that good or bad?

your post doesn't seem to indicate whether that's a good thing or a disappointment.

Default Good.

As I understand it, my urq wasn't running when Clarke got it. It had to be towed from a major airport, and they almost got arrested for it..

As I heard, It had been stored at different friend's garages for many years, before it eventually ran under it's own power again.

The colorful part: Apparently, my urq had been owned by a pilot who did international flights. After he 'ran away with a stewardess', he ended up divorcing the wife. He ended up with the urq. She visited it one day with a ball peen hammer, getting a lot of the panels but sparing the glass.. Or so the story goes! :-)

(If the light is right though, you *can* see some small circular imperfections on he roof!)

Default Assuming my Wife ok's this....anything special to check?

I can't believe the is one in this part of the country. Any areas to check out? I'm familiar with coupe type issues and will obviously check the locks engage but what else??

I didn't expect to have such an opportunity this soon in my life.

Default Check for (major) RUST!

Check for (major) RUST. ANything else is easy to deal with (by comparison). Especially if it's going at a good price..!

(BTDT: I hate welding!)

A replacement motor can be sourced from 5kt if required, and most body/trim bits from a coupe.
