Default Alamogordo, NM...the most boring place..ever

We drove down here yesterday...coming back Wednesday. The highlights of the trip.

I got 25.6 mpg coming down here, that is the best I have ever achieved with my S.

Today we went to white sands and played with the dog. Now he is crashed, oh and I finally washed the car.

Good thing this White Sands pass is a 6 day pass. We can go back tomorrow.

Default Check out the Organ Mountains, just W of the Sands....

....that range is beautiful. I was there very recently, and the temps were perfect. I still haven't had the opportunity to hike there yet so I can't personally recommend anything, but darn if it doesn't look amazing.

Oh yeah, if you make the rock climbing (yes?), Hueco Tanks is about 2 hours down on the east side of El Paso.

And then.... there is always JUAREZ!! I'm mostly over furtive, evening trips through the zona fronteriza, but even a daytime trip is still fun.

Learn about Southern New Mexico's beautiful Organs.

Juarez! I can only do Juarez if it is a spur of the moment leave in the middle of the night from Denver road trip.

We do usually go for a drive in the hills, maybe we'll do that tomorrow. Thanks for the tips

Default Wow, what a weather change!

It was 60 and sunny yesterday in southern NM. I had to bust out the snow blower when I got home this afternoon. Woo hoo!
