Can someone suggest a few good ideas for day trips from Breckenridge. Thanks.

Well...
I am staying at a house that is ski in/out so I am all set on the skiing front.
What I was hoping to find is somewhere within a couple hours for some great sites, parks, basic hiking (GF will be with me).
I've been to Estes (sp) but figured at that elev. most of the good stuff would be hiding untill spring. I really enjoyed to hidden ponds and lakes there...beautiful.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Adam

Yeah, much of the hiking at that altitude is now snowshoeing.
One of my personal favorites for an easy hike (2-3 hours) is McColough Gulch. It's just south of Breck and just north of Mt. Quandry on the west side of highway 9.
There's tons of other stuff, but it's a tough time of year to really appreciate a lot of it. Kind of a transition time, you know?
If you're willing to drive a couple hours you could go hit up Garden of the Gods in Co Springs. There's still a chance it'd be pretty nice there this time of year. Pretty scenic drive from Breck, too.

You can rent bikes in Frisco and bike on some single track around Lake Dillion.
Christy's rents them for something like $20. With the cold front coming through this weekend, though, it may be too late, but when I was in Frisco last weekend, it was fairly dry there.
I always enjoy hiking Shadow Canyon up to Bear Peak too. Since it's on the front range, I would think the weather there stays pretty decent. But then again, we're supposed to get a few inches of snow this weekend. The trail head is just east of Eldorado Springs near Boulder.
Lookout Mountain in Golden usually has hang gliders falling out of the sky, if you're into that.
I've seen a glider plane linger over Boulder a few times too. Maybe you can rent a ride?
And yes, Garden of the Gods is incredible. Seven Falls has lots of stairs you can climb too.
I haven't checked the weather in Durango (might be outside your range spec), but they have some awesome trails too.

go to boulder, do some of the hikes around there, and then lunch or dinner...
either in Boulder or in Nederland on the way back (if you should choose to go that way). There are plenty of hikes around Boulder, and of course the pearl street mall has its share of scenery (especially on friday nights!)
