i would try the claybar kit .walmart maguires claybar kit on sale %15.99 and it will take everything off the paint and a nice coat of wax by hand should do the trick . did mine but it took 4hrs just to claybar my tt . but the glass feeling is priceless! does anyone know if the claybar would take swirl marks out?

No claybar will remove imperfections in the paint, like dirt and other deposits. To remove the swirls you would need a swirl remover, then follow that up with whatever product you want to finish with.

Anyone can do it, but Audi's have been known for having hard paint as I learned at a clinic with Intrigue Detail and getting swirls out can take a little time.

+1 you will have to get your hands on a buffer to properly remove the swirls.
for the novice a good random orbital is good, but for really bad scratches a DA buffer is the way to go.
only thing with the da buffer is that if your not careful, you'll burn the paint

just out of curiosity, whats the color of your car?
