Digi Camera repair recommendations?

I have a Sony T7 that needs repairing. Sony wants $151 minimum just to send it in. Any reasonably priced local shops?

TIA!

Unfortunately

many cameras and lenses today cost more to repair than to replace. $120-$150 just to look at them is not uncommon. That said, I've had good luck with Jone's General Store & Camera in Boulder. Then, there's always Mike's Camera but I've alway's thought they were a bit expensive.

Jone's General Store & Camera

Yeah that's what I'm finding! Guess I was ignorant... Thanks

for the recommendation Jeff, Mike's Camera told me they just send out their Sony's... Long time no see! How's the car running?

Not so great at the moment...

My ATP manifold cracked almost in half. I replaced it with a P&P'd OEM manifold, but there's still a horrendous exhaust leak. It was then that I found out that it's coming from where the exhaust housing meets the bearing cartridge on the turbo itself. The car still pulls pretty good, about 80% I'd guess, but the sound is unbearable. Anyway, I've ordered a new turbo and I'm going to change some other things around, try some different injectors and a new MAF housing plus programming. We'll see then.

How about you? Doing well? All I do is lurk now on AW. I don't feel as connected to AWRM since I can't GTG with anybody and the Florida forum is pretty lame. I miss you guys. <sniff> :P

Ahhh that sucks. I've dealt with plenty of exhaust leaks unfortunately... you'd

think Milltek would = high/decent quality. I've also become a lurker... :( Been too consumed with work and family stuff. Did you move to FL permanently? :O

I think I'm going to put out some feelers for teh beast, mileage is starting to get a little high (116k). Plus I'm getting my motorcyle itch!

Yeah, in FL for good now.

I've taken a job as an operator at the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant in Jensen Beach, DOH!

The Milltek stuff is fine, no problems there. It was the high flow exhaust manifold made by ATP. Total failure of the part and I think it caused the turbo leak too.

I can understand the motorcycle itch, been feeling it a little myself. :) But don't be discouraged about the mileage on your A6. I'm about to turn over 140,000 miles on the A4 and the coupe has over 180,000 on it. I'd miss them both if I sold one. Besides, you car IS a sexy beast. ;)

If you did want to part with it, what would you be looking to get for it? My brother has been thinking about a new car and it would be perfect for him.
