The idea is to get a lot of people to read and discuss a common book, and they hold talks and bring the author in town as part of the event. “The Art of Racing in the Rain” is a New York Times best-selling novel about a dog’s perspective on navigating life’s ordeals. Enzo is a shepherd-poodle-terrier mix who watches television and listens to his master, a race car driver, to create a philosophy that life, like racing, isn’t just about going fast. Enzo helps his owner and family deal with cancer, death and a custody battle over the owner’s young daughter.<o></o><o

There will be a presentation at the library on Saturday September 11<sup>th</sup>, “Zen & the Art of Racing in the Rain” by Boulder Automotive Journalist and HPDE instructor (although not with PCA), Frank Amoroso. The main Fort Collins library is also holding a small car show with race and sports cars at the library in association with Frank’s talk. If you would like to show your car on September 11<sup>th</sup>, please contact Sarah Scobey at the Fort Collins library (SScobey@poudrelibraries.org). Show cars need to arrive at the reserved parking lot on the west side of the library (201 Peterson Street, Fort Collins; between the main library and the museum) at 9:45AM. Frank's talk starts at 10:30 and he'll talk for an hour; afterwards people can wander out and look at the cars. It’s all over by noon.<o
