Sealing the concrete
 

A concrete stain/ sealer is never going to be as durable as a good quality epoxy finish. To protect the freshly finished stained surface a penetrating sealer might be a good idea. Maintenance is a snap- just strip the wax and reapply a few coats of sealer now and then.

Insulate and sheetrock before you settle in.

Sportsman's guide has 'em too. My dog always wanted to chew them up.
