High Plains Raceway (HPR) Meet/GTG June 15th
With the summer approaching, and our cars coming out of hibernation, what better way to kick things off, then to head out to the track and let our cars stretch their "legs". The 15th is an open lapping day, for cars [no motorcycles]. Registration information can be found here: http://highplainsraceway.com/lapping-days.html
Full day pricing is: 8am-5pm $150
Half day pricing is: 8am-Noon and 1pm to 5pm $90
A helmet is required!!!!!!
I figure most people will be up for the afternoon half day for actual on track driving. I plan to be at the track around 10am to watch, and just hang out. I'm attempting to get at least one shop to come out and give those interested some extra driving/track info.
Everyone has roughly 3 full months to prep their car to be ready to hit the track. If you have some tires from last year that you are close to swapping out, use them up on the track 1st instead of ruining new tires. I've already sourced myself a helmet, from a pawn shop though some members here "may" have extras. If you know your brakes need work, plan ahead and make sure they are good to go prior to the track day same with your oil, and any other normal maintaince.
With this event, what better way to enjoy whatever performance mods you have done to the car over the past year or so.
