No, I am once again cursing the POS all-season / no-season tires I bought last year.

I'm tempted to go back to Discount and ask for a trade-in - I've got <10k on them.

Still have my Summers on

but the S is out of service at the moment so I am driving the Scout. :)

Let's get everyone's impression of today's commute: List your car, list your tires too.

RX-8 + Hankook Icebear W300s = teh FAIL!

From Capitol Hill, to North Boulder. Impressions: Icey, AND slushy. Cars ALL over the road. Easily one of the most hair raising experiences of my driving career.

I should have spent the extra $200 and gotten Nokians.

The Icebears allowed me to brake without difficulty, but I could not track straight!!

I was constantly adjusting to keep the car on the road.

Maybe it's the combination of crappy tires + light car that made everything so difficult today.

Previous cars/tires:
Audi UrS4 + Nokian WRs = unstoppable, confidence inspiring.

BMW M3 + Gislaved Nordfrost 3s and 5s = got stuck in high snow, but just as easy to drive as the UrS4 when underway. Confidence inspiring too!

A6 4.2 w/225/45-17 Hakka2s---AWESOME

These tires are several years old but I finally mounted them this year on my wife's A6. I've had them on for a couple of weeks and although they are only a "T" rated tire, I was pleased with their dry performance. Nothing like the old Blizzak soft sidewall experiences of old. In the snow, slush, and ice of backroad and highway driving they never slipped at all. Turn-in was sharp and acceleration and braking were awesome.

Hap, wit dakine no-slip drive not from Evahboost, Maguire

B5S4 + Dunlop 3Ds = commute was the same as always

but then again, I drive about 10 minutes, all but .5 mile of it is interstate. And it didn't snow here *grumble*.

'00 A4 + Dunlop Winter Sport M3

But, i work from home, so my commute is 25 feet. looking forward to getting back on the snow. although, i feel better not driving on it today. it's dangerous out there after the first snow of the season.

00 Integra LS + Yokohama YK-520 all-season = crap

They're on my A4 as well. I've already left a negatvie review of them on B5 A4.
