Oil for New BUH V10 Engine First Start
Hello Everyone,
I have a brand new BUH V10 engine for a RS6. I am getting close to starting it for the first time. I am trying to find the correct oil to use on first start. According the Castrol they recommend Castrol Edge 5w-30 LL (long life) as the best oil to run the car on. They were not sure for the first start, but said the Castrol Edge 5w-30 LL should be okay. My worry on first start is the piston rings not bedding in. The engine will idle for a while before I get a chance to put a load on it on the dyno.
