Brake setup for street + occasional track

Brake newbie here. Ideally I'd like a setup that will work for street and occasional track use (where I'll TRY to not abuse the brakes too badly :).

Here's what I'm thinking of going with: OEM rotors, cryogenically treated, EBC redstuff pads, Motul RBF 600 fluid.

Opinions?

Regardless of your setup, imho.......

you need to swap pads after every track visit. Those OEM rotors (or any rotor) get blistering hot in front at the track. Those front pads are doing alot of work braking that car on the track. They degrade faster in those conditions.

Imho, those "hybrid" pads are no longer an option for me. Basically means changing pads after every track visit. Took one visit with my new brakes to figure that out.

Phaeton brake ducts as well!

I happen to have a set to sell. I decided not to install for warranty purposes, and the fact that I will not be tracking my RS6.

if i had the time & tools, I agree that's the route to go...

having seen DIY brake venting setups do wonders for a couple of B5 S4 owners with stock brakes, and having read the various posts here and on rs6.com re: Phaeton ducts.

Pay a shop to do the install. ;-)
