Wondering what the brake life is on a normal daily driven RS7 Performance with Ceramic brakes. The replacement cost is crazy, so was wondering what the life is and do most owners swap them out to steel brakes after worn out?

You and I are almost on the same page.... I just this week purchased a used 2016 RS 7 Prestige (not Performance) and just now returned from the dealership. They measured my brakes and said I've got 5mm on the front and 6mm on the rear. One of the techs said I might be able to get an additional 10k miles out of it, then the customer service rep said I should expect to get the warning light in the next "few thousand" miles. I know the answer to the OP and my question ("how much longer do I have?") depends on I drive (I'm not very aggressive - especially now that I'm apparently close to replacement.

Follow-up question - what have members paid to have pads and rotors replaced? I got a quote of close to $3k. I'm sure this varies by location, but I'm trying to figure out whether to seek out other quotes, from the competing Audi dealers - or otherwise.
